10/07/2019The management team of the Lezama Group would like to create a scalable model through the expansion of our registered trademark, that is, “The Culinary Institute of Spain”. This trademark is defined with two main attributes: knowledge of Spanish culture and health promotion through Mediterranean gastronomy. It is intended to be a tool for Spanish cultural promotion and support for a powerful agri-food industry that wishes to penetrate international markets through its universities, cultural institutions and gastronomy/culinary schools.
Within any given physical space at those institutions (universities, cultural centers and gastronomy or culinary schools) the Culinary Institute of Spain would develop three different lines of activities:
1) Hospitality and gastronomy training: Advanced and technical courses focused on the development of Spanish cuisine and on health improvement through nutrition.
2) Innovation: Improvement of culinary processes and the design of food products and gastronomic offers; adaptation of the menus to different metabolic pathologies (e.g., diabetes, obesity, and heart disease).
3) Exhibition and promotion: Development of seminars, cooking shows and training in collaboration with Spanish agri-business companies that want to introduce their products into international markets. In addition, given our existing experience in North America, we can also collaborate with interested US companies in the food sector in furthering our mission.
